1.
You open my eyes How long, O Lord, will You forget me forever? How long, O Lord, will You hide your face from me? Long enough, long enough, have I carried this load of sorrow. Long enough, long enough, have I lived with this heart full of pain. I want to look life in the eye. I'm tired of falling down on my face. I'm throwing myself into Your loving arms and now it's time to celebrate Your rescue... So, I will sing at the top of my lungs. Yes, I will sing of Your unfailing love. For You have delivered me from the worst of my enemies. So, I will sing to the Lord For He has been good to me.

about

I grew up within the Churches of Christ Community. My dad was a full-time youth minister and a song leader in a congregation that was a ceppella all the time. He was also in an a cappella quartet called "Dedication" and we used to listen to their tapes on repeat in the car growing up. My family and my church taught me how to sing all the parts and I couldn't wait for my voice to change so I could sing bass like my dad. I still go to and work at a church that worships a cappella on Sunday mornings. I know to some not using instruments is very strange, but I love singing harmony and there's something deeply meaningful that happens when human voices join together in harmony and song. I hope to add many more songs to this album soon as we begin to record music more consistently.

about

Nate Hale Nashville

Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, singer/songwriter Nate Hale makes music that is prophetic and painfully truthful, with a melodic, easygoing flow. Nate writes about real life issues: love, war, politics, and religion. Buy the music, come to the shows, clap your hands, and pray that the vision in his music will spread; that swords will be beaten into plows and that jubilee will become reality. ... more
